New Partnership | Cantina Kurtatsch – Alto Adige, Italy
We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Cantina Kurtatsch, one of the most authentic and distinguished producers from Alto Adige, Northern Italy.
Founded in 1900, Cantina Kurtatsch is a shining example of collaboration between growers and winemakers who share one guiding principle: “every microzone, its own wine.” This philosophy remains at the heart of their work, aiming to express the true character of each vineyard and its terroir.
The Terroir of Alto Adige
The vineyards of Kurtatsch stretch from 220 to 900 meters above sea level, across steep slopes with glacial and Mediterranean soils. The dramatic temperature variations between day and night, combined with a mosaic of microclimates, give the wines elegance, freshness, and distinctive minerality.
A Winery Carved into the Rock
The winery itself is an architectural gem, with underground cellars carved directly into the rock, a natural environment for the wines to mature in perfect harmony. Tradition meets innovation here, with modern techniques applied through a lens of respect for nature and sustainability. The entire production follows fully sustainable practices, preserving both land and legacy for future generations.
Wines with Identity
From aromatic whites such as Müller Thurgau and Kerner to elegant, structured Pinot Noir, every label from Cantina Kurtatsch reflects the purity and authenticity of its origin. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention, allowing each vineyard’s unique expression to shine through.
With this new partnership, we invite you to discover a producer that embodies the essence of Alto Adige. Wines of depth, identity, and an unwavering respect for their terroir.
